Ynana RoseWelcome back SLO's own award-winning singer-songwriter Ynana Rose (pronounced “Yuh-nah-nah"). She's played Sculpterra many times, and returns with her second album, Tea Leaf Confessions. Ynana Rose composed 10 out of the 11 tracks on the album, collaborating with Steve Key and Damon Castillo on two songs and channeling legendary country artist Lefty Frizzell on the one cover tune, “I Want to Be with You Always.” The album features classic and contemporary folk, honky-tonk country, gypsy jazz and porch-stomping Americana sounds. Ynana wrote her first song at the age of 37, which opened up a world of creative passion. Ynana has been featured at the Live Oak Music Festival, and Parkfield Bluegrass Festival. She draws inspiration from Dolly Parton, Gretchen Peters, Gillian Welch, Hazel Dickens, Willie Nelson and Guy Clark. More at http://www.ynanarose.com/

Victoria VoxVictoria Vox returns to Morro Bay, playing a solo set and also introduces us to her duo, Jack & the Vox. https://youtu.be/YmAdsHOQBs8

Vox is an ukulele-toting award-winning songwriter and performer. With a passion for songwriting since she was 10, (first on keyboard, then on guitar), she studied at the Berklee College of Music (Boston, MA) and in 2003, she took up the ukulele as her main accompaniment. Since the release of her first ukulele album in 2006 (... and her Jumping Flea), Vox has been one of the leading songwriters on the ukulele scene (Ukulele Magazine, front cover + feature article). However, she straddles into the folk scene as well, where she has opened for Jackson Browne, Tom Chapin, Leo Kottke, and Cheryl Wheeler. She performs mostly as a one-woman-band, incorporating a loop pedal and bass effect on her ukulele, while taking her own solos (on mouth-trumpet), and cutting through it all with her genuine lyrics and pure voice. https://www.victoriavox.com

Could there be a better moniker than Jack & the Vox, for the husband and wife duo comprising of Jack Maher and Victoria Vox? The two met while studying songwriting at the Berklee College of Music (Boston) in the late 90's, but married in 2016. They are both involved in their own projects: Feed the Kitty and Victoria Vox (solo), however, from time to time, these two join forces. Appearances are somewhat rare - so catch them together when you can! They perform mostly original indie folk music, but they are also known for their covers of Dire Straits and Genesis (on youtube).

Show begins at 6:30pm. Morro Bay Wine Seller, 601 Embarcadero, Morro Bay, (805) 772-8388. 21 & Over Only. $15 general admission. Buy your tickets in advance and we will reserve your seats!
